Damn, I bowled like shit today. I’m not even going to tell you my scores, they were that bad. I’m going to try to get to the bowling alley and practice sometime before next week.

Necessary Roughness is on TV now, so I’m gonna go watch that now.

I finally stopped being so damn lazy, and called some movers today. First place I called was booked up the day I want to move, so I had to dig up another one. But it’s all set up, and I will be moving on September 13.

Things left to do:

• Tell the management here that I’m leaving
• Call my insurance company and tell them I’m moving
• Pack up all my crap
• Make a list of everyone else that needs to have my new address
• Take down my (unused for months) satellite dish
• Deal with transferring utilities

I spent a good part of this weekend playing card games. Friday, I learned a new game called Tichu (four player version). It’s a very interesting game, and I recommend giving it a try. Saturday, I finally played poker again, for the first time in a long time. I didn’t do terribly well, but it was still a lot of fun. Hopefully, I’ll be able to convince people to keep it up, and play at least every other week or so. I think once a week might be too much.

Today, I didn’t get up early and get to the bowling alley at 9am like I wanted to, but I pretty much expected that after getting home after two this morning. There was a PWBA event at Zodo’s here in Santa Barbara this weekend, and I didn’t get to it either day. I would have like to see part of a professional bowling even, but I’m not too upset about it. I’m sure I’ll get another chance at some point.

I have no idea what I’m going to do the rest of the day… maybe attempt a little bit of packing for my move in a month. I don’t really need to start so early, but it’s not like I have anything better to do at the moment.

Well, I was trying to go to sleep early (before midnight!) but it’s too damn hot in my bedroom. Not that waiting will help it any, but I’ll be more tired later, I suppose. It’s a nice 66 degrees outside, and 84 in my bedroom, with the window wide open. I really can’t wait until I move.

I bowled alright tonight, but not great. A 171 and a 164, and then salvaged a 537 series with a 202 my last game. Yesterday, I threw an even 800 over four games. I’m still amazed at how well I’ve been doing.

Nothing else to report at the moment, really. More news as stuff happens.

I paid my deposit and first month’s rent yesterday. My move in date is September 12th, and I can’t wait. (It was going to be September 11th, but I had them push it back a day at my mother’s request.) It’s a beautiful place, and hopefully doesn’t have the problems I have where I’m currently living. Also, it has a pool, a ping pong table, a pool table, and a fitness center.

Now I just have to call some movers and set things up, and give my notice for my current apartment.

There’s a cool website/search engine called RIAA Radar that will tell you if a given CD was released by an RIAA company or not. Nice if you still want to buy music, but not RIAA music.
