When Squirrels Attack

Look who’s complaining about the voting machines now…

PA – GOP Officials Call To Impound Voting Machines
NJ – Voting problems reported in New Jersey

This one’s not a GOP complaint (yet), but another reason everyone should agree that the voting machines need to be fixed: No e-voting backup required in Virginia. Long story short, most of Virginia has no paper trail. For a “recount,” the machines will just spit out the same numbers they did the first time.

Seriously, this needs to stop. Ignoring all the security and hacking issues, the first things that need to be done are fix the user interface, and get paper trails. As that post says, everyone can use an ATM. It should be just as easy, if not easier to use a voting machine.

Of course, equally important, we need to take action against the rogue squirrels.
