Perpetual Emotion
![]() Purchase location: shirt.woot Today marks the end of the T-shirt A Day Challenge. I’m not going to stop, though, because it’s kinda fun. I’ll continue to wear a different t-shirt every day for as long as I can. Looking at my closet, it looks like I might be able to make it into March. I am, however, removing the restriction of having owned the t-shirt before the challenge started. This will let me buy and wear new shirts, as well.

Heroism
![]() This shirt really isn’t appropriate for me anymore, since I play the fake drums a lot more than I play the fake guitar these days. I bought it before Rock Band had come out, when there was still just Guitar Hero. I should probably have this one, instead. Still, I like the one I’m wearing today. Purchase location: Penny Arcade Store

(cc)
![]() Today’s shirt is another fairly old one, at least compared to most of the shirts I’ve worn this month. I’ve had it for over four years. Copyright law in this country (and the world) is out of control, and Creative Commons is one way of (legally) fighting back. Purchase location: Creative Commons Store. This exact version of the shirt isn’t available anymore, but they have some good stuff in there now.

FFC/FPC Breakout Board
While working on my camera timer project (currently pretty much done, waiting for me to figure out how to put it in a case) I ended up needing to get a smaller LCD display. The one I had been using was just too big for any reasonable case I wanted to use. I found one: ![]() The smaller LCD comes with a flat flex cable, and a connector is needed to use it. Unfortunately, these connectors don’t work well for prototyping on a breadboard. For a while, I had soldered wires to the connector. That worked, but as soon as I tried to move anything around, wires broke off the connector and it was just generally a pain to work with. I searched around for a breakout board for them, but couldn’t find anything. So I decided to make my own. ![]() Ordering from the least expensive place I could find to have the board made, I ended up with 40 of them. I have no need for so many of these, so I’m selling the extras. They are now available in the store. They are the only thing available at the moment.
