Why can’t Billy Wagner get anyone out anymore? Dodgers have the tying run at the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. Update: Whew. Game over, Mets win. (0)
The Mets are somehow #2 in ESPN’s Power Rankings. I’m not sure how, they seem to be playing so badly lately. I guess that’s just the way it feels, but they’ve won 7 of their last 10, so it’s not actually as bad as I thought. They’re still in first place in the NL East by 5 games. (0)
I just drove home and back from work, to talk to and pay the exterminator. On the way, some idiots almost changed lanes right into me THREE separate times. The first two, I had to quickly change lanes to avoid them, and the third time I had to slam on my brakes to give them room to get in. I hate people. (0)
I am really looking forward to doing virtually nothing this weekend. It’s the first weekend since June 23-24 that I’m not traveling out of town and don’t have family visiting. That’s a whole two months without a free weekend. I have so much TV to catch up on. (0)
The Rangers beat the Orioles 30-3 last night, in the first game of a double header. From Rob Neyer: “My favorite statistic about last night’s game? The Orioles gave up more earned runs in one game — in 3 hours and 21 minutes — than Brandon Webb has given up in the last three months (and yes, I swiped that one from Buster Olney).” Webb gave up a run in the first last night, ending his scoreless inning streak at 42. I think I’m going to get a new camera fairly soon: Canon 40d. I’m also interested in the SD 870 IS. (0)
So sick of flying and traveling. Posting from LAX, here long enough to bother getting a T-Mobile Hotspot daypass. That’s all. (0)
While I can’t wait to see my family (especially Evan!) this weekend, I’m really (really, really) not looking forward to flying tonight. meh. At least my new noise canceling headphones are awesome. (0)
I finally booked my flight for Alex and Eleanor‘s wedding today. Normally, if it’s only $150 more to fly out of Santa Barbara instead of LA, I’ll do it, because the drive there isn’t fun, and it’s much quicker to get through the airport here. This time, though, I decided I’d make the drive down there to fly on Virgin America. It’s almost making me look forward to flying again. Almost. (0)
As if you didn’t already know, Barry Bonds hit home run number 756 of his career last night, passing Hank Aaron and becoming the all time home run leader. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2965584 (1)
