I somehow cashed in a no-tap handicap bowling tournament tonight. In fact, I took third place out of 96 for $175 on my $20 buyin. Plus, there was free food, which was really the reason I was there. I shot a 278-275-256 for an 809, plus 78 pins of handicap for an 887. The third game was really probably my best, as all but one of the strikes were natural. The first two games I had a lot of 9 counts that turned into strikes because it was no-tap. I was not expecting to make any money, even after I knew my scores. I figured some low average bowlers would shoot big games.
